Step 1: Select the Number of Generations
The first step to creating your piece of art is deciding how many generations you would like to include. We offer four, five or six generation charts.
When choosing the right chart for you, you will want to consider how many generations of complete information you have. Your art piece will look more complete without any holes.
The number of generations will also affect the cost of your chart. The number of names doubles with each generation which affects the amount of work that goes into creating your chart.
Step 2: Submitting Your Family Information
In order to create your chart we will need the names, birth dates and places of each ancestor to be included. There are two methods for you to send us this information.
Submit Your Family Information
Once you have selected and purchased your chart, we will send the link for your spreadsheet to the email you provided with your order.
Each line on the Google spreadsheet corresponds to a numbered section on your family history fan chart or family tree. You will fill out sections with the name, birth date and place for each ancestor.
Make sure to check the information for spelling and accuracy. A copy of your art piece will be sent to you to be proofed before finalization.
The link for the google doc will be sent to the email address associated with your order.
There is an additional charge for this method because of the time it requires from us.
Step 3: Choose How to Display Your Art
After you purchase and finalize your work of art it will be sent to you in a high resolution digital file. From there you can share and print it as many times as you desire. There is only a one time charge to create the artwork.
We offer additional high quality display options to customers looking for a physical copy of their artwork. We offer paper and metal prints, canvas wraps and custom framing in a variety of sizes and colors. You can order these with your digital art piece or order them later.
